I have followed all the steps to load visual micro to work with Visual Studios c# 2010. all are fresh downloads....I downloaded from codeplex, it installs to my VS 2010 main file folder, Visual Studios does not see it,I can thru windows explorer see all the .DLL files I am at a total lose as what to do. I don't understand how to tell VS2010 that it is an addin....I don't seem to have an addin menu....what can I try to do??

no I don't see an addin menu. I don't think I have vs c#++ so i will do that now, I thought I have vb.net but will also do that. I will uninstall the visual micro and again let it install to default. thanks so far, ron.

ok I have tried a NEW pc. it has win 7 as os. re-loaded everything from the web. still I can not get visual studios (i now have VS c++) to see anything about Visual Micro. The arduino runs just fine. I can load it ok and it runs. I do not see in this NEW install an addin menu any where in VS c++ so what am I doing wrong?? I let Visual Micro default to it's proper folder I see the folder and all the .DLLs but VS c++ does not....Help. Ron.

Yes I have read all of the info you have provided. However I must be missing something very basic. so to replay to your request, these are the steps I have taken.
1) I bought a Mege 2560 bd.
2) I loaded there software and ran it. the bd works fine, i can upload to it.
3) I downloaded Visual Studios c++ and installed it. It runs.
4) I have the .net frame work and all that loads from Microsoft
5) I downloaded Visual Micro, read the docs, Installed it. It did the install and created a folder in program files. the folder is called visual micro/visual micro for arduino in that folder are the.dlls 
6) when I open or run Visual Studios and goto tools/ options I don't have a "ADD IN" menu or listing, why I don't know.
SO, how can I use "visual micro" If I can't add it to visual studios. That's the problem. do I need to call microsoft and ask them?. It will cost me $259.00 USD.

Yes I was!! I bought the VS 2010 Pro ver and now your pgm runs in VS2010 However I still have some problems But not the ADD IN...I would like to close this thread, But I don't know how. If you would delete it that would be good. Thankyou for all your time,,,as this was my bad. Ron.

Oh Hi. Tim. No I don't have any of those problems, as I said your ADD IN is running fine, I can do all the scripts I want, however the scripts are not want I want to do....OK my problem is I don't understand how to mirgrate a script into visual studios and use that script in a windows form. the syntex does not compile....I know I don't know enough to do it. If any one has written a vs, or better yet a VB form that can talk to and get data from the 2560 I would love to see it  I just don't know where, or how to start. I know I am making this way to hard, so I'll ask a question. 
   Can I open VS 2010 pro c++ add a windows form, then place a button on the form and write code to see that when I click the button it will send to the micro chip the code I have written, say light led 10 or what ever and the led hooked up will light. I don't see how to do that. I have not found any GUI using a windows form to get any idea on how to pgm this. I did find this in the arduion wed site" AdruinoFimataVBExtended" a vb.net pgm, but written fo not my chip, so it does not run and the author was of no help, I am tring,but getting nowhere. I'll let you go,,,, BUT IF Anyone hse writrn anything in a VB form, that can send and rec. PLEASE let me know. down in the dumps. Ron.
