Hi Admin,

When i want to create or open a Arduino project the following Error message pops up:

Error:
De bewerking is afgebroken (exception from HRESULT: 0x80004004. (eabort)

I couldn't create a project because of this error.

I've installed Visual Micro with the installation guide without any problems.

Do you have any idea to fix this problem?

Kind regards

-Windows 7
- visual studio v2010 ultimate

Hello,

This could be a couple of different things. First thing is to make sure your visual studio can create a new empty Win32 C++ project.

So please do not use the Arduino menus, open visual studio and create the new c++ project as normal.

Does the C++ project create correctly?

Thanks

Thank you for the response.

Visual studio doesn't create a win32 c++ project.

No probs. One other user has had this problem before. It is a corrupt visual studio install of some sorts. When I asked what he did to fix it the answer wasn't very clear but he did fix it.

The first thing to check is if you are running visual studio SP1. You probably are but I should check your "Help>About Visual Studio" to be sure.

It's worth then asking on the "microsoft visual studio forum" or "microsoft connect" how to fix it. Maybe just running a visual studio installer repair will fix it.

When you can create a C++ project normally then Visual Micro will work because that is what it does when you click the "File>New>Arduino Project"

Sorry I can't be of more help but feel free to bounce questions and ideas in this thread. I will be very keen to hear how you get it working.

The problem is solved by reinstalling visual studio.
Thanks!
