Hi Adi,

Some questions...

Which version of windows are you using?
Have you just installed Arduino? If so have you opened the Arduino IDE once?
What is the location of your Arduino exe? Does the location match the location in the Visual Micro options?
Can you see a list of Arduino Boards on the tool bar?
Can you see a list of Serial ports on the tool  bar?
Can you see the Arduino menu on the Tools menu?

Thanks

2. Been working with the original Arduino IDE for the last 6 months.
3. The location is matched with the options
4. I can indeed see a list of boards
5. Just COM1
6. Can indeed see the Arduino menu on the Tools menu

It sounds like the plugin is installed and working correctly.

Can you give me one example of what action you are trying to do?

Do you mean you are unable to open or create any Arduino sketch programs? If so this means that your Visual Studio 2012 C++ installation is missing. You should encounter the same error if you use the standard visual studio File>New> Win32 C++ Project?

Something weird  is going on here. I'll try and re-install. I can see now that the net is flooded with users having this error and it has nothing to do with your add on  Embarrassed

A couple of people that I know of have this issue with vs 2012.

The last told me the fix as follows:-

Quote:
Success! I carefully went back and cleaned up any pieces and parts (SQL, Web, etc...) that came along with Visual Studio Pro 2012 and especially deleted any settings in c:\users\username\documents\visual studio 2012\settings.
Then I loaded from the DVD again (installed vs 2012) and it finally shows the C++ support.

You probably just need to uninstall, delete the settings as mentioned about then re-install. Good luck. Keep us posted of how you get on

Okay, i am sure Microsoft will announce a fix at some stage and also explain why a few people hit the problem. If you find the patience again in the future maybe install vs 2010 pro instead of 2012. If 2010 works then 2012 will probably start to work.
