Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Serial stops when I click the window

VS 2012 with the debug add on.

Running a sketch with Serial.println's only (no breakpoints).
The sketch runs fine and the Serial.println's appear in the Output window as expected.

When I Left Click in the Output window the output stops and cannot be restarted without a recompile.

I forgot to say why this is important to me.
I need (want) to capture the text in the Output window.� Best way is to to left click and strip the text then copy 'n past.� That works but the window needs to restart running.

This might just be confusion over how the trace/output windows work in vs. I have ensured the serial works the same way.

You can click in any window of this type to pause the display allowing copy/paste/review. To re-start simply scroll to the end or press CTRL+END or select the last line/char of the feed.
