Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

FWIW - I saw an unexpected Console trace after re-installing VM (to 1.1212.30) on Win7 with VS 2010.  On restart of VS following the VM install, the console showed:

CreateCommandBarItemsPerm      Begin AddinVer=1.1212.30
Invalid Visual Studio SETUP Request Detected      Exiting visual micro setup due to an invalid visual studio cm_uisetup request!
CreateCommandBarItemsPerm      End
Create UI command items      Begin
CreateCommandBarItems      Begin AddinVer=1.1212.30
Get Bar      Tools
Create Bar      Tools>Arduino
... etc ...

Subsequent restart of VS 2010 looked OK:

Create UI command items      Begin
CreateCommandBarItems      Begin AddinVer=1.1212.30
Get Bar      Tools
Create Bar      Tools>Arduino
Adding      Tools>Ports
... etc ...

Also, the New -> Project -> Arduino Project menu item went missing but the /resetaddin trick fixed that.


In case anyone needs to recreate:

Everything running hot, straight and normal with VM/DT V.previous; Showroom stock VS 2010 and Win7.
Do Windows Uninstall of DT, then VM.
Install VM 1.1212.30 via the MSI download.
Start VS 2010 and observe Console messages

Thanks. I raise this trace message if VS has a problem and is telling VM the wrong things.

I've seen it once or twice in VS2010, so far not in 2012

Sounds like the clean re-start allowed VS to sort itself out. Good to know thanks
