Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

AVRISP mkII works in Visual Micro but not in Arduino IDE?

Following Marius I de-installed and re-installed the Arduino IDE again yesterday and that did not help again (I tried that before as I mentioned, it did not work then also).

Today I received and tried your detailed instructions (thanks!).  
No luck for Arduino IDE:
avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00

But for Visual Micro it works (!):
Compiling 'Blink' for 'Arduino Nano w/ ATmega168'
Binary sketch size: 2952 bytes (used 21% of a 14336 byte maximum) (1.06 secs)
Uploading to I/O board using 'avrispmkii'
Done uploading

Are you sure you selected the right board in the arduino ide and then used file>upload using programmer? 

Arduino and Visual Micro use the same system so should work the same.

Anyway great to hear Visual Micro is working with the hardware programmer. Thanks for the update
