Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
 
Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post

the automatic prompt for arduino location doesn' t come

Hi 
I am using visual studio 2012, arduino 1.0.5, and tried like three
different versions of visual micro but the automatic prompt for 
the arduino location doesn't show up, even not in the tool menu.tried clean install of visual studio, reinstall arduino aswell, no luck. what's the problem here 
please help

Hi Ray,

Sorry for the confusion.

Are you using an express version of Visual Studio. Microsoft doesn't allow plugins for express they just don't load. 

If you don't have VS Pro then maybe look at the Atmel Studio Ide which is free and based on Visual Studio 2010. After you install Atmel and run it once, close it then run the Visual Micro install again.

If you are using Pro but the installer is failing then please confirm if you have a Visual Micro entry in "tools>addin manager"

and yes i am using express version of visual studio 
and now as you said, i'm gonna try atmel studio
