Hi:  I just downloaded new Atmel Studio along with New Visual Micro

I put in the path to my Arduino.exe, I do not see any boards
listed in the dropdown box...getting frustrated.

Regards
Bob

Hi Bob,

Sorry you are having this problem.

Two things to check please..

1)
The location must be the folder path to the arduino.exe, do not include "\arduino.exe" and do not surround with quotes.

2)
Ensure that the location is set for the respective Arduino Ide version. It's currently confusing with, for example, Arduino 1.0.5 and 1.5.5. So please check that your have used the correct Arduino 1.0.x or Arduino 1.5.x

Thanks

EDIT: If it was working previously and you upgraded then run the installer and click remove the run again and click install. Make sure atmel studio is closed while you do this.

Finally is still now working and the location is configured correctly then click "tools>visual micro>reset user interface"

Thanks

Hi Bob,

I think you ticked "Tools>Visual Micro>Upload Using Programmer" by mistake. Please untick for normal Arduino upload using a Usb/COM port.

Thanks
