Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Unable to install updates

Hello,
Whenever I try to do an update of tools / add-on's I get the message telling me to,
Install 6.2 first.  
I am running v6.2.1153.
Is there a way to fix this?
What I amI doing wrong?

Hi Jz,

Sorry for the delayed response.

It sounds like you are trying to perform an update using an Atmel Studio function. I'm not sure what update of tools is.

For Visual Micro updates you simply need to click "Tools>Extension Manager" then click download on the Visual Micro extension/addin. Close the Ide and run the downloaded installer.

I hope this helps and sorry if I have misunderstood.

+ If you have a screen image of what you are clicking I can pass this on to Atmel Corp as what you clicked sounds like a bug or erroneous command that should not be in the Ide.
