Hi,

Please check/do these things:-

1) That you have entered the correct path for the Arduino ide against the correct Arduino 1.0.x or Arduino 1.5.x application. If you have installed Arduino 1.0.5-r2 this is a 1.0.x application.

2) If 1) doesn't help then click tools>visual micro>reset user interface

Thanks

I do not have a  tools>visual micro>reset user interface
see picture.

I installed Arduino 1.0.5-r2

arduino is installed in c:\Program Files (x86)\Arduino

if I look in
tools>options>visual micro : Click to configure Ide locations
the entries are:
Arduino 1.0.x
c:\Program Files (x86)\Arduino

Thanks for the info.

Did you try to restart VS 2012? Sometimes it gets confused after first install.

If that doesn't work then try to disable the addin in "tools>addin manager". Un-tick the Visual Micro addin then re-start vs. Then re-tick the first two or all checkboxes in the addin manager.

If it still fails then please switch on tools>options>visual micro>user interface>trace then re-start. After the ide loads an output window will appear with trace info. please copy and paste into an email then send to info[at]visualmicro.com

Thanks

Thanks for the info.

Did you install a version of Visual Studio that includes C++?

You can test for this by using File>New>Project and selecting a new C++ win32 project.

Thanks
