multiple errors after upgrading to Arduino 1.5.8

I was using Arduino 1.0 environment when I installed visual micro on my VS 2012.  I have just installed Arduino 1.5.8. environment.  Now Visual Micro wont work!
* Multiple errors are displayed within the sketch
* main  error is that all #INCLUDE statements show errors.
* the board menu is greyed out so I can't select the correct board.  Which I figure is why the #includes show errors.
So far I have tried un-installing the Visual Micro and re-installing it.  And I have tried the reset addins.

To ensure the fault is not in my code I have loaded up some working example programs.

How can I fix this and get this excellent product working again?

Hi,

When you switched to 1.5.8 which Visual Micro Ide name did you use? For 1.0 you would have set the Arduino location using the Visual Micro "Arduino 1.0.x" ide name but for 1.5 you need to use the "Arduino 1.5.x app name".

So click the Ide locations/coonfiguration option and ensure you have the Arduino location specified against the correct Ide name.

Thanks

I have managed to get the board menu to appear by selecting the correct IDE location. (see attachment).

The include directives still all show as errors.  Hopefully I have only done something stupid, as I badly need the facilities of Visual Micro.

I have tried re-installing Arduino on all of my disks, and I have reinstalled Visual Micro on different disks also.  I still can't understand what is wrong.

Hi Peter, pleased to hear you are now using the 1.5.x option for the 1.5.x version.

We see intellisense errors in your image. Intellisense is unconencted to compile, does the compile and upload work?

For intellisense, I expect that due to the previous invalid config your project might be confused. Try switching to a different board and back again. That will ensure the project is correctly configured.

Thanks
