How to change Visual Micro settings from using Arduino 1.0 to 1.6

I removed all instances of Atmel Studio and installed the latest version. I removed my previous version of Visual Micro and installed your latest version. And I removed Arduino 1.6.3 and installed 1.6.1.

There are actually 2 problems. First I still see Arduino 1.0.x in the Micro Apps drop down list box and the Micro Boards drop down list box is blank. I do see the correct COM port  in the Serial Ports drop down list box.

Reminder: Arduino 1.6.2 + version are not yet supported. Download link to Arduino 1.6.1 via our home page

Hi Dflyer,

This is slightly different.

You have upgraded from 1 .0.x version to 1.6.1. This means that in Visual Micro you have to drop down the list of apps which in your case shows Arduino 1.0.x and remove the install path. Then select the Arduino 1.6 application name from the list and set the install path. Then click OK.

Visual Micro supports more than one version of Arduino (other other ide's) installed at the same time. This is why you set the installation location of each type of Ide.

For more info please see the documentation http://www.visualmicro.com/page/User-Guide.aspx?doc=First-steps.html

Let me know if I have missed the point.

Thanks

slightly older example with 1.0 and 1.5, tip: use zips to install the arduino ide unless you need to update usb drivers.
