Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post

[solved] VS2013 CE - Syntax color and intellisense missing

Excuse me for my broken English.
IDE: VS2013 Community
OS: Windows8.1 pro
Dev board: Intel Galileo Gen 2
I got the addin working but there're still some problems. When  I open an arduino project, Blink.ino, it seems that the IDE cannot recognize the keywords because they aren't highlighted like the keywords in a ordinary .cpp file(see the picture below). Also the comments  are not displayed properly, which should be green. 
Please note that I have selected the right path for arduino IDE.
PS: No further information is shown about the function digitalWrite() when I right click on it.
Any solutions or similar problems encountered?

Hi,

When you ran the installer did you select install for all users (default) or install for current user?

Thanks for replying and modifying the topic title!
I think I selected 'install for all users'. Does this matter?There's only one user profile on my computer.

Hi,

Install for all users is correct. I am trying to work out why the installer is failing for some users. I suspected that it happens when non-admin install is selected (current user not all users) but maybe that isn't the issue.

Anyway point 2) of the FAQ on visualmicro.com should sort it out for you.
