Should Visual Micro update automatically?

Started up Visual Studio, went to Tools | Options | Visual Micro | General | Version and found that it was several versions behind the current one.

Is Visual Micro supposed to update itself, or must I go to the website every so often and download and install the latest version?

If it has a built-in feature for updating itself, how do I trigger it?

Many thanks!

Tools>Extensions and updates is supposed to notify you via the notifications system.

You should see a flag at the top of the ide when a new release is available. Click the flag and the notifications panel should open.

See screen shot.

Visual Micro also has a secondary dialog notification in the software but I only use that every month or two in an attempt not to annoy and also a way to notify major releases.

Perfect!

Thank you - I'm sorry I hadn't worked that out already.

Your assistance is much appreciated.
