Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Debugging outputs missing and breakpoints aren't working

My "Can't debugger doesn't work" problem is back again. I have attached the entire sketch and a screen shot. 

Several problems are occurring at the same time:
1) The sketch doesn't actually start executing until I press Connect in the bottom of the serial output panel.
2) The panels that show debugging output aren't visible and there is no apparent way to make them visible.
3) None of my breakpoints work
4) The button to stop execution is missing
5) The panel that shows the status of the digital pins is also missing.

This problem seems to come and go. It works for awhile and then it doesn't. I don't have a clue (yet) what is causing it to stop working.

Hi Bob,

That means debug is off.

Is vMicro>Debugger>Automatic debugging" enabled?

Can you post a screen shot of your vMicro menu please
