Hello,

Can you please open the Ide Locations window and provide a screen shot

The window is available by dropping down the Arduino 1.6 list

Also confirm that you have run arduino 1.6.11 at least once time.

Thanks

Thanks for the info. It's a strange one.

Please open the visual micro board manager via the micro explorer and then push rescan

Thanks

I got the exact same problem it seems.

Installed the Arduino IDE 16.11 (also tried 12), made sure it ran once, to create the necessary files.

Ran visual Studio 2015 (has c++ option installed), tried adding the vMicro module by adding from extension menu, and installing via msi file from homepage.

No matter what i do, i get the same scenario as above.
Have even tried installing the Arduino in "C:\Arduino" folder, to remove any spaces from the path.

Have also tried rescanning toolchain, to no avail.

Visual Studio plugin does not anowledge, the IDE it seems.

Please look into this, or give advice on how to investigate or work around.

Hi,

Did you try what I said in previous note?

View the Board Manager in Visual Micro? Then click Rescan or restart the ide

If that fails please rename the c:\users\[your name]\appdata\local\arduino15 folder. Then start arduino once then open VS. Does that work?

Thanks

May have overlooked this trick in earlier posts.

renaming the appdata folder did the trick. I now have boards to choose from.

Thanx.
