Installer 1701.19.1 failed on Win7

Hello,

today i downloaded the Installer and try to install it.
After double-click on the Installer my pc runs crazy:

Every 2 seconds a pop-up was shown.

When i open the Task-Manager it Shows endless VSIXInstaller Prozesses (see Attachement).

I am Running Win7 and VS2013.

What could be the reason for this issue?

Best Regards
Bernd

Hi,

The VSIXInstaller is Microsoft software.

The .VSIX file that Visual Micro  provides is actually just a zip file. That's how the Microsoft installer works, it reads the zip and copies files to the correct locations.

You screen shot looks like it just can't load the Microsoft vsixinstaller in which case that suggests a problem with your Visual studio installation.

Please try to repair visual studio or report to microsoft support.

Try installing from within the ide, tools>extensions & updates>online

Sorry I can't be more help

Hello,

just a short Feedback:

After Reboot of PC + use of "Run as Administrator" installer worked fine!

Thank you for the Support

Best Regards,
Bernd
