Issue Opening Existing Projects

Hello, I am still feeling my way around the new versions of VM. I am currently having an issue with opening existing projects. After creating or working on a project, VM adds the files shown in the image to the project folder.

If i close the project (close soln) or exit VS and then attempt to reopen the project, no project opens. The only way I can get the project to open is to delete all the additional files create by VM in the project folder so I am left with only the .ino file.

What am i doing wrong here?

after creating a project, closing vs and saving changes, then re-opening vs

what happens if you use standard visual studio file>open>project to open the project.

The project is the blii with the little ++ icon.

Great. You can have solutions anywhere. Use file, add existing project to add projects to solutions.
