Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post

Hi,

Try opening the micro explorer and clicking rescan.

See if the fixes it

Interestingly, I can't upload with the arduino IDE either now (probably coincidence) Quote:

in VS, I'm using the EDBG uploader but oddly enough, when I enable "Always use programmer for upload", the path isn't shortened:

Ah OK, I'm getting somewhere:  The Arduino IDE says that it cannot find the openocd.exe file.  I have 5 places where it is on my computer:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\Common7\IDE\Extensions\kujnizuc.ibs\Micro Platforms\default\tools\openocd-0.9.0\bin


C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\Common7\IDE\Extensions\kujnizuc.ibs\Micro Platforms\default\tools\openocd-0.9.0\bin-x64

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\Common7\IDE\Extensions\gwwo4b5e.has\Micro Platforms\default\tools\openocd-0.9.0\bin

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\Common7\IDE\Extensions\gwwo4b5e.has\Micro Platforms\default\tools\openocd-0.9.0\bin-x64

rduino\bin

Which one is the correct one? (and should I delete the rest?)

Don't try looking to hard you will get confused. The open ocd in the visual micro extension folder is for gdb not for upload.

Use board manager in the arduino ide to reinstall your samd core. It sounds like it's corrupted

The cores are stored in users\appdata but the board manager handles all that.

when your build is working in the arduino ide then open visual studio and try that

don't set a programmer just use the defaults.
