Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

LCD Dipsplay - problem with upload

Hi,
I have a problem uploading a basic program for controlling the 16x2 LCD display. I do not use I2C wiring. When I upload a program, only the top line lights up, but only the wrong characters appear. If the same program is uploaded via Arduino IDE, everything is fine. I'm using VisualStudio 2017. Do not you know where the problem might be?

Hi,

Is the toolbar set to Release or Debug?

If Debug then please set to Release and upload again.

To see if that resolves the problem.

Otherwise state what board you are using so I can ask some more questions

Great if you need to debug you can use a different local/remote usb port or software serial. Pls see the docs.
