Good afternoon
I am sending a small  sketch that is compiling in Arduino but not in Visual micro.
Can you help me with the issue and explaining me what am I doing wrong please.

Thanks for the post and the example. I am surprised this has not been reported before and will look at a fix in the next release.

The issue relates to the automatic prototype generation which detects already placed prototypes. The detection is failing due to the comments and space chars in your method. Your code is fine but the layout has caused an issue.

If you switch off the "Automatic Prototypes" setting in the "Project Properties (F4)" that will prevent the issue. The auto prototype system isn't required because you add your own (which is always better).



By the way, VS will auto detect //comments above methods and use them in intellisense and in various other places.
