Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
 
Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post

Failed VM load at VS2017 startup

Hi, any hints how to fix this? I ve updated VM to latest version and it stopped working, could not start and VS2017 guides to ActivityLog.xml which contains this:

[Visual_Micro_StudioPackage]Source: 'Visual.Micro.Arduino.Studio' Description: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.Threading, Version=15.8.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Since release of vs2019, Microsoft have some confusion with their api that also supports 2019 but they should have this issue! They asked that if we spot any inconsistances we reoport them. Uggh  Smiley

I think in this case your vs2017 had not been updated for quite some time.

You can fix by going to control panel > add or remove programs > vs 2017 > change then you should see the "update" button.

We can also do somethings to workaround this which we will do in a release over the next 48 hours.

If all else fails run a reset on vs2017 and then update and then install any extensions you need.

Hi, yes I updated VS in mean time and it helped. On 15.9.14 everything is fine. Thanks
