Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Cant open existing projects

When I try to open existing projects nothing happens its just blank. I don't know what to do, the only way for me to open my projects is to open them in Arduino ide and then copy it and make a new project every time... which is starting to be annoying.

Could you attach a screenshot of the problem, and let us know what version of Visual Micro is installed?

there is nothing to show in a screenshot really, it just says the project name at the top but the window where the code should be doesn't show. I'm using version 1912.28.2. The picture shows what happens when I try to open an existing project.

Hi

You have minimized the Solution Explorer window. You can see it as a vertical button to the far left side of the ide. When you click the Solution Explorer button it will show you the Solution Explorer tool window and you will see all your code files. Click a file to edit it.

tip: When the Solution Explorer tool window appears click the pin at the top right so that it stays on screen.
