Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

VS2019 error messages cite wrong line number

In the last few weeks I have started noticing that when VS2019 shows a compile error or warning, the cited line number is off, by a LOT.  In one case, the cited line number  was line 338, but the actual problem was on line 139 (the character index within the line was correct, just the line number was off).

I don't necessarily  think this is any kind of VM problem, just wondering if anyone else has noticed this issue.   I'm running VS2019 V16.6.2 with VM 19.0

Thanks for the report. This is resolved in the new release available via Extensions>Extensions and Updates or the Gallery.
