VS Arduino - Uploader works with Uno but not with Nano

Uploader works with Uno but not with Nano (Read 1797 times)

	Tiny sketch works fine when I upload it to an Uno using various uploaders, but could not get any combination to work with a Nano. See attached for outputs. My question, then, is what is the proper uploader to use with a Nano?

	Assuming your Nano has the bootloader present, then the Default (No Programmer) Upload option should work as expected. The Arduino ISP / Arduino As ISP are for when programming the Nano via the ICSP pins through another Uno/Nano/Mega board, where the other board is acting as the programmer (and needs to be flashed with the ArduinoISP Firmware). As with the Uno ensure nothing is connected to pins 0/1 to ensure the serial upload is unaffected. Can you confirm the upload to the Nano works in the Arduino IDE?

	I can confirm that nothing is connected to pins 0 or 1 and that the sketch does upload to a Nano using the Arduino IDE. and the ArduinoISP loader. It also works with the ArduinoISP.org loader and the USBasp loader. I did not test the rest of the loaders. Each of the Nano processors was fresh out of the box. I tried with two different Nano's, but could not upload any of them with the Visual Micro IDE. This time I tried the default loader, AVR ISP loader, the Arduino ISP loader, and the Arduino as SIP loader Details in attached file.

	I just found the solution. I have to use the Arduino Nano old boot loader. That works. Is this the way it should work? Is there something I can do to use the "proper" boot loaders?
