Visal Studio 2019 latest
Visual Micro Latest
Arduino 1.8.13
I updated my boards with board manager now my ESP boards are missing when selecting a board.

In Micro explorer under board manager, they are there and in green installed.(attached image)

Under the installed tab they are not there.(attached image)

They also don't show under the list to select board in IDE.

They are all there in Arduino.

If you restart the IDE does that resolve?

found this solution but took alot of time

Things tried
Reinstalled VM
Reinstalled Arduino
Reinstalled ESP32 Boards via manager

What fixed it was deleting and reapplying optional additional boards under ide locations

I dont know why the installed boards via the manager still dont show.  But this works for now

Thanks for the update.

The additional board urls are merged with ones set in the arduino ide. If you are using the arduino ide alonside visual
micro it is reommended that you configure your board package urls in the arduino ide and leave the visual micro config empty. (There can be confusion if two different versions of the same package are referenced in both the arduino ide and visual micro)

Clicking "vMicro>general>reload tool chains" OR the rescan button on the platform explorer re-reads changes made externally to the configuration. This means that external changes to platform.txt and install/uninstall via arduino board and library manager can be detected without need to restart the IDE

I see thanks, that suggests that you don't have any urls configured in the arduino ide and the incorrect urls or duplicates were in the visual micro urls list. Is that right?

I had the same urls in both locations when it would not populate in micro with full boards list that was message above with screen shots.  I removed urls and added it back to micro and the boards populated.
