Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Windows 10,VS 2022 : upgrade to version 2022.429.2200 fails

When upgrading to version 2022.429.2200 I get the message 

Install failed
The install of 'Arduino IDE for Visual Studio 2022' was not successful for all selected products

See attached Install log.

Starting VS2022 seems to have the latest visual micro installed but not sure if all functionality is available/working.

Uninstalling visualmicro give also a failed message, see attached log.

Reinstalling after that completes OK.

Visual Studio is entirely responsible for extension install and uninstall. Visual Micro does not include any code to control this process.

It looks like Visual Studio has corrupted its install database.

There are a few options to resolve.

1) Often repairing VS fixes the issue

2) Alternatively searching for and deleting older Visual Micro extensions below the following folder. search for *sketch.dll

C:\PROGRAM FILES\MICROSOFT VISUAL STUDIO\2022\COMMUNITY\COMMON7\IDE\EXTENSIONS
