Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Can not add new file from solution explorer when creating a lib

If I do to the project in the solution explorer right click and add an arduino header and cpp (I don't need a cpp) than I get a promt, I can't do that...

If I do it from the project with the shetch It imports it, not in to my lib, but into my shetch project.

For standard c++ code in standard c++ projects you should always use the standard microsoft add new file facility.

The menu items you are looking at will be removed because they do cause confusion. For arduino shared libs they expect an arduino project to be in the same solution, the new files are then added to that project. Hence the confusion.
