Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

I have an error in the output log after a build.

Error running platform build action hooks.postbuild

I just discoverd that I downloaded the wrong version. I was working in that Arduino not Linux... I saw it in the solution explorer projectname (Arduino).

I starts to be confusing what to use...

RELEASE: 22.1128.9 - Visual Studio 2017, 2019, 2022, ARM64, Microchip/Atmel Studio

RELEASE: 2022.11.28-4 Visual Micro 2.0 for Visual Studio VS2017/VS2019/2022 + Microchip Studio
     
RELEASE: 2022.11.28-2 Visual Micro 2.0 for Visual Studio VS2017/VS2019/2022
     
Don't know what microchip studio is... The information where I look for is

Lastest release - Visual Micro 2022 : Linux (Arduino 2.0)

Some boards try to run a hook but if the custom file they look for does not exist they throw an error that can be ignored. We just have to run the hook.

Sorry about the version number inconsistency. They will be fixed. You are only ever interested in the latest for whatever IDE you have installed. In your case VS2022. Microchip studio is not for you. The latest is always pinned to the top of the list. If it has been released to the gallery the subject will start RELEASE instead of LATEST

The very first release of Visual Micro with the new intellisense showed (Linux) to the right of project names. We worked out how to change that because it caused some confusion. (Arduino) makes more sense to people.

The "Release" button near top right of the web site always gives some useful info for the change history. It mentions when the switch was made to (Arduino)

it seems that I installed the wrong version again. I was working with the linux payload. I installed from here...

I starting to know what is wrong. I subsribed for the Arduino version a long time a go. And the topics changed from RC, final and release an don't get any notification anymore for that. Can I unscrib for the arduino please? Or if that topic contains the 2.0 version, than it's ok.

I think it is this what I want...

The version was released and put in the gallery.

The latest release is also the "up and coming" next release. You should only subscribe to this link if you want the next version notifications.
