When you install Visual Micro it automatically installs the Visual Studio workloads that you need. All Visual Studio workloads are available via Tools>>Get Tools

When you open a visual micro project, if the correct workload is missing, then visual studio will prompt you to install it/them.

Can you confirm if you are using Mac with windows on ARM or normal windows pc?

I run on an old version of windows. The latest sdk win 11 contains parts of code for the uefi or was it gpt what i don't have. It seems to act as a mbr virus, but it doesn't arm. It just do disk activity and modifacation failure. And now when I reinstallation manually it failed for the dendev and sdk11 (auto selected). There is an update setting to not install unsupported components. But it was allready to late when I saw it and I don't think it will work for now. Better stay a few versions before the new release(5) for older systems. But what was the implementation of those five releases before? Popably the thinks I don't have. Currently windows has also some problem systems, where they have found a structure in it. Thats maybe thats why that setting.

I have solved problem(s) with my system.

1. wrong drivers where installed. downloaded the offical, grappic card driver, chipset drivers, lan drivers
2. utp cable skew on the fitting.
3. uninstalled unneeded vc++ packages (for clean install)
4. Firewall was blocking windows updater
5. services restarted
6. Manual downoaded windows update files (solved the problem with the HDD and files that can not be modified)
7. restarted
7. run windows update
8. .net framework installed through windows update (no framework install with visual studio)
9. made a folder to install visual studio on an other drive that where I previous installed the visual studio (ssd is in my opinion a beter chois.)
10. make a restore point if it's not allready done
11. installed visual studio 2019 16.11.22 (not latest because of older version of windows) deselected SDK win 10
12. installed visual studio 2022 17.2.11 (not latest because of older version of windows) deselected SDK win 10

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/releases/2022/release-notes-v17.2...

If you notist that something when wrong just install remove the install. Turnout your computer. Boot and install again. If not solved, run windows updater. If it still doesn't work go to

https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Home.aspx

My error code was 80092004 during windows update
