Error: Operation cannot be performed ... with user-mapped section open

While working in VS2022, I frequently get the error when I click Start to recompile and upload to the ESP32:

[project path]\__vm\Compile.vmps.xml ---> System.IO.IOException: The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open.

If I click on Start after this error, the build (debug) proceeds.

Can I prevent this error?

The full output is attached.

Thanks for the report.

Could you attach a full build log with the options shown at the top of the page so we can see your full configuration?

Also, is the "DropBox" folder containing the project being synced to DropBox when files change?

Simon,

Yes, the Dropbox folder is being synced.

Attached are two one micro build files:
  1. error [attached in next post]
  2. success

The first is the same error after opening VS2022 and clicking start. (More output appeared before the error.) Success is after clicking a second time with a successful build and upload.

This problem has not recurred since moving my local files off Dropbox. Thanks for the idea.
