Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post

Many "file not found" errors after updating to Teensyduino 1.59

Many errors. VM seems to be looking for files on the TD 1.58 path, instead of 1.59.

Arduino 2.3.2 builds no problem, and all was well with VM before the Teensyduino update. 

I have Arduino 2 selected in the IDE option. What else do I need to do to fix this?

Thanks for the report.

Can you try closing Visual Studio, and then deleting the below folder from your PC:
c:\Users\doug\AppData\Local\Arduino15\packages\teensy\tools\teensy-tools\1.58.0

Then when you restart Visual Studio it should build as expected using the 1.59.0 teensy-tools.

That worked. Thx.
Did I likely screw something up to cause the problem? I closed VS, used the Arduino IDE 2.x to install the Teensyduino update.  Then closed arduino and restarted VS.

The issue was likely that the discovery/serial monitor tools were still running in the background for Visual Micro or Arduino IDE, causing them to be locked when the new package was installed.

We have added a fix for this in the next release so it shouldn't happen again when upgrading to the next board package version.

We will update this thread when it is available to download

The update to resolve this (24.0510.00) is now available from the top of the board below for download, and in Extension Manager in VS2022. This should ensure the tools are killed before the new package is installed:
