Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

VS22 and vsmicro 2025.120.2202 not opening full arduino project?

Afternoon

Updated VSMicro last night, and now if I open an Arduino project (definitely not a single file), it only opens that single INO. Nothing else in the folder, no other files. What's up with that?

Thanks for the report.  This sounds like what happens when using File > Open File.

Are you using File > Open Arduino Project, or Extensions > vMicro > Open Existing Arduino Project and selecting the INO File?

If so, can you confirm which, and send a screenshot of the project folder containing the INO (showing the folder name it is within as well).

File, Open Arduino Project.

Even if you click "All Files", all you see is the INO...

Same if I use Extensions menu, or File, Open Arduino Project

Enabled this, and it worked. Never touched this setting before tho!

Thanks for the detail and update, and we will investigate this further.

The Ensure All Files in Project should also automatically run when using the File > Open > Arduino Project, the button has been added so it can be used when files are added externally as a way to pull them into the project easily.  It is not a setting which is enabled, just a button to add any missing files into the project.

Thanks for the response - I wonder if the upgrade defaulted to that being off? I've never had it in previous upgrades before, and have been a user for over a year now...

We have found and resolved the undesired functionality in the latest release (25.0120.3) which can be downloaded from the top of the below board:
