Esp32 Dev Module Huge App partition model not being honored?

I have an Arduino program for the Esp32 Dev Model (Cheap Yellow Display) that I'm unable to upload to the CYD because the program size exceeds the default.  Here's the error message (full verbose compile log attached):

# Compute Size: c\esp-2021r2-patch5-8.4.0/bin/xtensa-esp32-elf-size" -A p32\Release/ESP32_CYD_BT_Tone_Generator.ino.elf"
Program too big. The size is 1373365 bytes (of a 1310720 byte maximum). Ensure debugging is OFF and/or see http://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/Troubleshooting#size for tips on reducing it.
Build failed for project 'ESP32_CYD_BT_Tone_Generator'

I went into the Arduino IDE and changed the partitioning scheme from the default to "Huge App (3MB No OTA/1MB SPIFFS)".  I also updated Visual Micro to latest version and closed/restarted VS (I'm using VS2022).  However my program still won't upload and I get the same memory size error.  Anyone know what I'm doing wrong here?

TIA,

Frank

Thanks for the logs, and from what I can see in the prebuild hook execution it is using the Default Partitions.csv.

Can you try changing the partition scheme in Visual Micro on the vMicro Menu options, and select the "Huge App" partition there?

If that does not work, please attach the latest log, and also enable vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties.

Tip: Visual Micro shares all board packages and libraries with the Arduino IDE, but cannot share specific per-sketch settings such as the partition scheme currently.

Thanks!  I finally found the menu item for the partitioning strategy and changed it to 'Huge App' mode, and that worked.
