Thanks for the report.

Can you attach the complete build output from a build with the below options enabled?
  • vMicro > Compiler > Verbose
  • vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties

If you could attach a screenshot showing the whole IDE with some of the error examples as well it will help us investigate.

Thanks for the information.

Can you:-
1) switch to the Release Build Configuration in Visual Studio and try building again? (this will disable the Serial Debugger which is not present in Arduino IDE).
2) Try changing the Solution Platform from x64 to ARM64
3) If the same compiler error exists temporarily disable the vMicro > Compiler > High Speed Parallel Builds and try building again?

If you could also attach the output from the Arduino IDE where the same code compiles with the File > Preferences > Verbose Output During Compile enabled it will help us to compare the two further.

Thanks for this, if it is built again in Visual Micro it will be faster as the Arduino IDE is. The reason the build time appears to have reset is the change in build configuration.

The Arduino IDE (and your Debug build in Visual Micro) are both cached already so only the changes are built.

We will look into why the file lock issue exists with parallel builds enabled as it shouldn't be an issue.
