Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
 
Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

  • Fix: Serial Monitor: Use Arduino Pluggable Serial Monitor where configured in board package (Fixes ESP32 Deep Sleep Issue Reset).
  • Fix: Serial Monitor: Ensure Stop Bits in Serial Monitor is set correctly for all monitors
  • Fix: Serial Monitor: Ensure Built-In Tools package is installed on Build, or Open of Serial Monitor to support new Serial Monitor Tooling
  • Fix: First Time Use: Update Package_Index.json files for all builds
  • Fix: Examples: Ensure Arduino IDE Basic Examples are downloaded on Micro Explorer > Example Tab load, and updated once per month if an update is available, with progress bar on download/update.
  • Fix: Board Package Install: Ensure files with non-ASCII filenames are interpreted correctly when unpacking files (e.g. Uno Q v0.53.1 Packages OpenOCD targets)
  • Fix: Board Package Install: Ensure when remapping folder paths that if > 1 matching path is found it is left unadjusted (caused tools issues with Uno Q v0.53.1 Board Package)
  • Fix: Board Package Install: Ensure Installed Tools are for the correct windows architecture (e.g. UnoQ has arm64 and amd64 tools, previously we installed arm64 as first in index)
  • Fix: Uploader: Ensure {build.variant.path} property is merged (e.g. Arduino Uno Q)
  • Fix: Uploader: Ensure {upload.port.properties.serialNumber} and other upload.port properties are merged for upload (e.g Arduino UnoQ)
  • Fix: Serial Debug: Arduino Uno Q: Ensure Serial is the transport object not SerialUSB
  • Fix: CLI: Ensure informative error message is output when duplicate filenames exist in main and shared project (reported via email)
