Monitor Digital Pins on ESP32-S3 Dev board

If I enable Monitor Digital Pins when serial debugging an ESP32-S3 Dev board the monitor window shows only Pins 0 to 7, which can't be correct as I'm flashing a Neopixel on GPIO48? Also they all show as low and when I run my fingers along the modules pins nothing changes.  By contrast if I do the same on a basic Nano board I see all the digital pins and they jump from low to high to low as I touch them.  Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug?

sorry for the delay. there needs to be a change. the esp32 doesn't offer digital pin counts and reads quite the same as legacy arduino. we'll try to make a version over the coming week to try.

Thanks Tim-Simon,

I'm ready to field test it for you as soon as you have something.

https://www.visualmicro.com/forums/YaBB.pl?board=VS_ARDUINO_EXT_RELEASES

Debugger dynamic digital pin visualisation - Flexible support for boards that do not have or define the standard pin counts (such as esp32). Dynamic analogues will also be supported shortly.

add these to a board.txt in the local project (or other Arduino supported .txt file)

vm.debug.pins.digital.count=49
vm.debug.pins.analog.count=0
