Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post

IntelliSense errors with std::vector on arduino-pico core 6.3.0

Hello (:

I am using the arduino-pico core 6.3.0.
I am able to compile and upload my program, but I get IntelliSense errors (see screenshot). The board properties output from compiling is attached too.
Can you have a look what the problem is, please?

I just seen that I am using version 2026.708.2204 of Visual Micro. I will update to the lastest version and then post my findings with updated Visual Micro. (;

I have updated my Visual Micro to latest release (2026.708.2207).
I run clean solution, rescan toolchain and build my program, but
the IntelliSense error persists.
The new board properties output from the build is attached.

I saw this post:

26.0708.12 - Visual Studio 2022+

    Intellisense improvements inc. better c++ lang ver detection

No it doesn't resolve this. we have a fix being tested at the moment. it's a wider intellisense fix. should be available over the next 24/48. we will update this thread when it is available.

^^I'm not sure if this is a problem with Visual Studio or Visual Micro, but report it just in case (and have attached my build output with build properties).

I tested IntelliSense with the Arduino Pico core version 6.3.1 with...
Code (C++)
Select All
std::vector<int> a;
std::variant<bool, int, Position> b;

...std::vector and std::variant are now recognized by IntelliSense.

.15 is the LATEST. Resolves the debug start launch of gdb.

It would be useful to switch on that environment variables in your design time intellisense warning report. Let's see what that is if possible. thanks

I attached "Micro3dPrinter.vcxproj". (There is no "Printer.vcxproj" from the previous messages in my filesystem.) I attached the log files as zip archive.
If you need anything else to find the cause of the problem, let me know.

P.S.: I used the version 26.0708.14 of Visual Micro at the time this was written. Now I will install version 26.0708.15 of Visual Micro... (:

Thanks, that "Designtime build failed for project" error was part of the new intellisense failing for the hardware you were using. Resolved in the .16 latest.
