Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Errors loading package index files

When I rescan the installed boards packages I get the attached errors.  Are they important and/or can I eliminate them?

thanks for the report. they can be ignored and won't show in the next release.

in the past month we added support for users to copy packages manually to the installed packages folder. the installed.json becomes important for that but visual micro is incorrectly reading installed.json in all installed packages. it's not required for most and doesn't need to report missing items.

The next release over the next 24 hours will resolve.

The last error is a malformed or missing definition from within platform.txt (in one of your packages). the next release allows for null platform definition and ignores it.
