Unable to install Visual Micro. I ran the "ArduinoForVisualStudio.msi" and I get a massage "Object already exist." I have both VS 2010 and 2013. Thank you for your help.

Hi,

Sorry to hear of the problem. Multiple versions of Visual Studio are supported.

Is this the first time you have installed Visual Micro or an upgrade?

Do you have windows .NET3.5 enabled?

Did you try downloading to a folder on your pc and running as Administrator?

Please post an image of the error box

Thanks very much

Hi

This is the first time I have installed Visual Micro; although I did accidently install Arduino IDE by mistake. I afterwards uninstalled it.

It looks like I do have .NET3.5 enabled

I did download it to a folder; however I didn't see the option of admin privileges when I right clicked the file, I think it's maybe because I am already log in as administrator.

I haven't figured out how to paste images so I attached a word Doc with images.

Thank you very much for your help.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay.

I have google'd the error and found a few similar reports for abobe and other software.

It might be a permissions problem. Copying the file to somewhere like mydocuments then running it might help.

Otherwise here is the command for a verbose log so we can see where this happens.

msiexec/i "C:\Users\tl\Downloads\ArduinoForVisualStudio.msi" /l*v "C:\Users\tl\Downloads\VmInstaller.log"

You need to run the above in a cmd window and change the locations to match your pc locations.

After running the installer please post or attach the VmInstaller.log that is created

Thanks very much

I ran the command in the cmd window and the install went through smoothly. I also had to install Arduino.exe after all.
Thank you very much for your help Cheesy

I was going to attach the Vminstaller.log as you requested but as I was taking my time I ether closed it or it closed on me.

Anyway I hope this helps anyone else having the same problem

Thanks Again.
