Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post

Visual Studio menu contains many duplications of entries

Hi

Great product!

One nuisance though: I repeatedly get seemingly endless duplications of entries in Visual Studio menues. One example see attached screenshot. This also makes the GUI behave sluggisher and sluggisher.

I can do "Reset User Interface" which removed some duplications on the Project menu. But they remain on the Debug menu as seen on the screenshot. 

I got the problem in an earlier version then installed the newest non-beta version "1407.10 SP1 - Fixes & Additions (7th September 2014) - Release" according to the web site. 

Problem remains.

(BTW: how do you display the installed Visual Micro version?)

Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Version 9.0.30729.1 SP.

Hi,

Thanks for the post.

The duplicate items you see are not visual micro menu items so you will need to delete them using the tools>customize system of vs2008

We don't often see duplicate menus and it is caused by "things" outside of Visual Micro's control. Actually it is a bug in Visual Studio but has little documentation about it.

We are using exactly the same version of vs 2008 as you for testing.

Do you have any other VS addins or extensions (tools menu) installed?

Yes, Add-in Express™

Does work. Each time I start Visual Studio, a new duplicate is added, though. 

However. I just uninstalled VisualMicro and it continues to do that. Seems the other one is guilty. Will look into that.

P.S. After I reinstalled VisualMicro it stopped to do that... strange in deed!!???

Yes VS has a mind of its own sometimes. Fortauently most of the time it is OK.

P.P.S it added one duplicate again. I can live with that.

Last question: I will upgrade to VS 2013 shortly. Will it be solved in that version?

Probably, I don't see the issue nor do most 2008-2013 users so it is an impossible question to answer  Smiley
