VisualMicro windows not opening correctly
Sep 12th, 2019 at 1:31pm

Ive started to have problems with the appearance of Micro Explorer and Serial Port monitor.

I've attached some screenshots. What is mostly obscured at the very top of the window is the name of the currently loaded solution - in the case of the serial port 'Microsoft Visual Studio' with no solution loaded, and in the case of micro explorer 'Motorised Door Locks' with this named solution loaded.

Between it working and not working, I've updated ReSharper and moved the location of the temp build folder. I've reset the build folder and disabled ReSharper but this has not resolved the issue. I've since updated VS from 16.2.4 to 16.2.5. I haven't reinstalled VM yet in case there is some useful information that might help track the issue down.

Does anyone know where to begin resolving this issue?

Switch off Tools>Options>Environment>General>Optimize rendering for screens with different pixel densities

Fixed with this setting changed.

I noticed several other threads where this was the solution. Did I miss a memo about this setting in general affecting VM?

I can't remember tinkering with this setting - did this get added to a recent release of VS?

Thanks for your help Smiley
