ESP-IDF

Hi,

I found this: https://docs.espressif.com/projects/esp-idf/en/latest/esp32/get-started/index.ht...

There are many useful functions there. The MQTT function (https://docs.espressif.com/projects/esp-idf/en/latest/esp32/api-reference/protoc...) is interesting for me because it enables a protected connection via TLS.

Is there any way to use ESP-IDF with VM?

Kind regards

We have something that we think will open things up nicely for IDF and others.

Hopefully we have time to complete the implementation during the comming couple of months. Sooner rather than later, it will at least double Visual Micro's capabilities.

I know I'd personally love to use Visual Micro with the ESP-IDF.

When I purchased Visual Micro is was initially to use with Arduino, but TBH their API is crap and I've since moved on to using the ESP-IDF.  I still edit code in VS, but have to tab over to the command prompt for everything else.

Heck, just having properly working intellisense would be amazing!!
