Arduino IDE

Both the Microchip Studio and Visual Studio are not picking up all of the boards configured in Arduino 2.
I have added the STM32 boards to Arduino 2 but they don't appear in the MS7 nor the VS19 list of boards.
This is as well the fact that MS7 still shows Arduino 1.6/1.8 menu option even though it has been uninstalled

If you open the vMicro > General > Configure IDE Locations screen and ensure the path is correct for your sketchbook for the Arduino 2 configuration, and press OK, it should then appear a selectable option in the IDE list.
https://www.visualmicro.com/page/User-Guide.aspx?doc=Advanced-Config-Manager.htm...

Once you have selected Arduino2 in the IDE List (at the top of the vMicro Menu or on the toolbar) it should then show all boards you have installed in the Arduino 2 IDE.

If you are not using the 1.6/1.8 option anymore then clear the IDE Location from Visual Micro.

+ Clear the sketchbook path that you have set against the Arduino 2 option so that the default is used.

That did something. The dropdown list only has IDE 2, but for some reason the IDE2 lost the STM boards config which was why it was not picking the STM boards. Once I reconfigured it the boards appeared in MS7 and VS2022.

It now seems to be working.

Thanks

Great. Yes you have to add the urls of platforms you want to use for each App in Visual Micro.

This allows different app configs to use a different set of board/package versions. In essance, a board manager for each app. The list of apps also supports adding custom apps, but you aren't using them.
